Happy New Year and Gan Xi Fa Tsai!   

When it turned freezing cold, we were pleased to celebrate the 50^th Anniversary of District 67 Toastmasters. Considering the Chinese New Year holidays, I decided to consolidate the January and February editions of Toastmasters Times, so the editorial team could enjoy the holidays. Even though I combine two issues, I wrote double amount of words for your pleasure. 

新年快樂，恭喜發財！
時序進入寒冬，我們也歡喜迎接中華民國演講協會在台五十週年慶。考量到新年假期的來臨，我決定合併一與二月號的演講協會時報，一併發行，因為這樣對寫稿的人比較沒壓力，編輯團隊也可以趁機好好放年假!（當然我是最想放假的人了！）雖說這是兩期一起發行，我可是沒有偷懶，總編輯的話比照兩期辦理呢！就請您耐心讀完囉!

What a juicy month I've had!  There are 31 days in January, and I visited clubs 19 days out of 31 days! That's the way I celebrated a history that has lasted 50 years for our District 67.  I also had the privilege of witnessing so many other activities at the same time.

多麼豐碩的月份! 此月份對我們-中華民國演講協會更顯得格外有意義, 因為我們已正式邁向第50年頭. 在歡慶的時宜, 算一算行程, 本月份本人已有19天來參與各個慶祝活動, 雖然忙碌, 卻無比興奮!  

 

 

 

平和日語演講會會長吳志豪

太平洋/平和日語會十週年紀念例會在2008年1月19日在日台交流協會隆重演出，參加人數突破百人。

Mark Twin said: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones that you did do."  I am truly glad that I had sailed away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in my sails and explored my dreams! And on the way, the most wonderful thing is to realize that I have so many companions to travel with.

馬克吐溫說:二十年後，你後悔你沒做過的事，會比你後悔做過的事來的多。我很高興我駛離了安全的港口，迎風追逐了我的夢想。更棒的是，我知道一路有妳們與我同行! 

Think about there are fifteen manuals each has five projects, a total of seventy five projects.  That is a rich treasure we can tap into.  So I delved into it by doing project-by-project to finish thirty projects. 

想想進階演講總共有十五本手冊，每本手冊有五個專案，這樣算下來就有七十五個專案，這簡直在告訴我們入寶山焉得空手回？！
