帕慕克演講

昨晚去聽了帕慕克與哥大哲學系教授、當代著名藝術評論家Arthur Danto（
他的中譯書）在哥大對談「文學與公民權」，這是歡迎哈維爾來哥大的系列活動之一，策劃者除了哥大的藝術計畫，還有左翼雜誌The Nation。這系列演講都是圍繞公民權Citizenship，還有音樂與公民權（談捷克的異議音樂）、新聞與公民權等等。
這場對談主要是Danto問，帕慕克答。對話的開場，就是主持人引用本文開頭那段帕慕克在伊斯坦堡這部自傳中與母親的對話。
面對母親的質疑，帕慕克回答說：我不想當畫家，我要當作家。
然後Danto帕慕克談起了什麼是公民、國家認同，什麼是好小說（帕慕克說他無法對這麼大的問題給答案），他自己的創作史（原來他家中有錢從來沒工作過）。
帕慕克是個直接的人，會說笑話，會皺起眉頭不耐地打斷問話，會說他知道自己有點名氣，所以有義務表達別人都不說的政治意見。
