Simoncelli開始2009衛冕250cc冠軍之路。
Italian starts 2009 testing aware of challenge in Retailing 250cc title.
Marco Simoncelli這星期在Valencia 250cc測試中火力全開，之前已經跳過JEREZ測試。現任250CC冠軍在第一天測試中進行了73圈測試，他擊敗六位出席的對手成為最快－這是他想要繼續衛冕的一個策略。
Marco Simoncelli returned to action in 250cc testing at Valencia this week, having skipped a previously planned visit to the Spanish track. The reigning World Champion of the quarter-litre class put in 73 laps on his first day back at work, with the fastest time of his six rivals present –a strategy that he intends to keep up in his title defending year.
我正試著要成為一位兩屆250冠軍，Simoncelli在累人的一天，花費時間處理對車子的信心和新套件之後說。
“I’m going to try and become a two-time champion,” said Simoncelli after a tiring day spent working on bike confidence and new parts.
去年，沒有人認為我是冠軍的料，但是這一次每個人都在他們的競爭者筆記本上面寫著我。而Bautista已經做了一些非常好的測試，所以我不能放鬆 －同樣地 Talmacsi和Di Meglio也是。
“Last year nobody had me down as a favourite, but this time everybody has me on their list of contenders. I can’t afford to relax, because (Alvaro) Bautista has done some very good tests –likewise (Gabor) Talmacsi and (Mike) Di Meglio.”
即使他們兩個是菜鳥，但他們都是世界冠軍。我將需要保持警戒，而且不能放鬆”這位以強硬riding style著名的Metis Gilera車手警告。
“Even though those two are rookies, they are World Champions. I will need to be alert and not give an inch at all times,” warns the Metis Gilera rider, already renowned for his hard riding style.
Simoncelli concludes his testing schedule for the week on Friday.
