在使用 Word 2007 時，我發現它會記錄以前使用過的文檔，有些還是個人隱密檔，於是就嘗試在 Word 2007 裡找尋可以刪除它們的選項，然而卻無法找到。於是便上網找，找了近半小時才發現有文章教你如何刪除那些文檔的連結，為免其他人也有同樣的想法，便將此方法帖出。

注意：此方法是修改注冊檔，請先備份注冊檔後才修改，也請三思後才決定是否修改。此外，若使用後發生任何問題，本人概不負責。


I found that word 2007 recorded my recent used files, it included some private files that are not willing to show on public, therefore I went online to search some ways to clean them. Almost half an hour, I found an article which teaching how to clean them.. I posted here because there may have someone need it as well.

Attention: This information is about how to modify data in the registry, please backup it before you modify, and think twice before you do. If any problem occurs after modifying it, I have no responsibilities on that.

清除「最近使用的文檔」（Word 2007）：

1. Start -> Run -> 輸入 "regedit" -> OK
2. 在 Regedit，選擇 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\File MRU
3. 刪除你想出現在「最近使用的文檔」的文檔。
4. 退出 Regedit。
   

中止記錄「最近使用的文檔」（Word 2007）：

1. Start -> Run -> 輸入 "regedit" -> OK
2. 在 Regedit，選擇 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Policies\ Explorer
3. 新建 DWORD 命名為 NoRecentDocsHistory，并設定數值為１。
4. 退出 Regedit。

To clear the Recent Documents list in your Word 2007:

1. Open regedit by clicking START -> RUN -> typing “regedit” then clicking “OK”
2. In regedit, navigate to the following location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\File MRU
3. Delete some or all of the entries to clear out what you need cleared out.
4. Close regedit
   

To disable Recent Documents history altogether:

1. Go to Start -> Run -> type regedit and enter
2. Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Policies\ Explorer
3. Create a DWORD value with the key NoRecentDocsHistory and set the value to 1
