Bio Climatic Architecture

◆工作室成立宗旨與內涵
Bio climatic architectural design is the basis of Sustainable design, which means the design originated from the micro climatic situations of the surroundings of the site of the project. All of the students have to investigate and evaluate the micro-climatic data of the area of the site where they will choose in the world to design. The project will be designed by the ideas like the most suitable passive or natural solar methods for natural cooling and natural heating, which the students will study or discover. At the same time to recognize the local culture of the site and to evaluate the functions well will be important for the presentations.
The site of the project will be in the tropical area like Taiwan, in the hot and dry area like the desert, in the cold and dry area like North Europe, in the moderate climatic area like many European countries and Japan or in the cold and humid area.
On the other hand, I hope that the students will enjoy visiting on the sites through the internet or books to know the regional cultures and the unique landscapes and the task will be useful for their future.

This theme has been continued for the last 2 years and not a few projects have been appreciated.
