tranquility

It is sad that we dont feel like the same way to do something at the same moment. If to me tranquility is to settle the doubts in myself and a concrete commitement, should I ask for it even if that does not sound the tranquility of his? Is it asking too much to ask what I really need for the coming year when we will be apart? What should I believe when he had that major record for 'not thinking it through so had to return it without hesitation'?

Love is about time of high and low, intimacy and space, maybe selfishness and selflessness. Tranquility is just a way both of the parts maintain/put up with it. I hate it when it is being used as a weapon/an excuse of arguments. I hate that and maybe that is probably the best we dont get engaged at all.

Stressful Days

Picture(12).jpg

There are always days that you just do not feel relaxed on most of the things.

Unfortunately I have been experiencing quite stressful days recently. Shit job, loads of studies to catch up, and the big question of 'to stay or not to stay afterwards'.

I have worried about this 10 months ago and it not only did happen but also got more complicated. Things are not as easy after Auctionicity merged with Auctioning4u, in terms of obtaining a work permit.

Also the self doubts about my capability in a competative environment like London where I do not have the advantages of the languages used. In the meantime, there are loads of opportunities for the creative jobs in Taiwan or Asia. Do I really want to sarcrify all these for a place where I do not really feel like home?

Loz has been really supportive and sweet, telling me that no matter what we aill not seperate and he is willing to give up things here and find a job in Asia if needed.
I feel I've never loved so much like this by someone other than my family, and I do wanna marry him, at some point.

I have fallen behind my study schedule and have working too hard for a job which I do not see the future. Guess I just need to put up with this until I get my work permit and visa to stay here. And from that point, I probably have more choices for my career and my future.

I love you Loz. You are the best thing in my life.

Picture is the 'new receptionist' of Autioning4u. Actually he is for auction as well.

Auctionicity Future Star!

hey hey hey!
Auctionicity is cool!

We've got future big film star Phil who was in 'Bands of Brothers' Tv Series,
and now we've got future catwalk model Jackson!

Jackson asked for a leave for Paris 2 weeks ago,
and came back with this fab catwalk pciture!

He said he was spotted at a music fastival here in UK,
and 2 weeks later he was in Paris for the fashion show!

It was for Dior Homme at Paris S/S 2006 Fashion Show,
None of my colleagues believed that such a skinny-looking 17-year-old young bloke, can look so cool and fit in the show!

Well done Jackson!

A Lovely Summer Night Out

Phil was one of my colleagues from Auctionicity, His profession is an actor and we are all sure such a nice and passionate guy like him will definitely become something big in the future. Satuarday was his last day at work so some of my colleagues went out together,

Drink at a cool bar near National Portrait Gallery first, then bowling at TROCADERO, then more drink at King's Arm pub near Waterloo (where they have amazingly nice Thai food), and then southbank for the Make Poverty Hisotry Circus performance.

Haven't gone bowling for quite a while and of course I'm still very bad at it. I never played it seriously, well I've never been good at any sorts of sport anyway; however, I've always enjoying going bowling with mates coz it's really a good fun. Like Priss said that once when she was younger she went bowling with mates, and she looked so professional and focused, and just about to throw the ball--the ball droped at her back to the floor, making loads of noise and laughters.

And the circus thing at Southbank was cool as well. Wicked band and great performance!

We had a great time and I do wish Phil a brilliant acting career as he's got the talents!

Online grocery shopping

To be fully prepared for the house warming party for at least 10 people on this Saturday, I've been thinking about how to make the whole preparation process easier. I love grocery shopping and I fancy big, huge supermarkets while L hates all of them. Unless I can convince L to wait for me for 1 hour or so outside Sainsbury and help me carry the grocery, I really don't think I would like to take the hassle like that.

So I think of online grocery shopping for the very first time of my life, though I've been really wanted to do it for a while. Think about it, you sit down in front of your laptop, have a cup of coffee and all you need is to click on the items you want, book a delivery time and check out. No sore hands with bags and tins, etc. No rushing with people in the shop or on the tube/bus. All you have to pay for the comfort is a fiver and then the grocery will come to your door at your booked time. How great is that!

Anyway, to make the most of the delivery fee, I bought quite a lot of household items which are heavy and bulky. Now I only hope that the food is fresh when they deliver
and that they deliver it on time.

'You are such a geek,'said L.

【In My Kitchen】Seafood & Vegetable Udon Noodle Soup

Since one day I happened to see and go to the famous JAPAN CENTRE in Piccadilly, I kind of get addicted to all these finely-packed Japanese foods displayed in the supermarket. The experience of shopping in the food market in the Japan Centre makes me home sick, as it reminds me of those days I watched the Japanese cooking competition programs with mates and family in Taiwan. That is why I couldn’t help going there every time when I was near Piccadilly Circus.

Anyway, these days I have cooked a lot of Japanese food and thank God L loved them. Take a look of my recipe but I am not responsible for the taste of the result. Enjoy!

anniversary

If you want to ask someone out for a date, make it Brighton.

Brighton was the place me and L went for our very first date last year. Well, we were exchanging email with each other a lot for about a month before Brighton. All was very fine but I was losing patience waiting him to ask me out. So some day I said fuck it I am going to ask him out and I emailed him as usual but at the end of email I asked him out to Brighton for a day out together to see the festival there.

Brighton is one of my favorite places here—it is easy access to, always sunny and dynamic. We had a great time there last year and that date has started everything very soon between us.

Anyway, this year we celebrated our anniversary at Brighton again. Same sunny day, the sea, the pier, roller coaster, the circus monkey and the ice cream. It was just too damn lovely. I think Brighton will always be a very significant place for both of us.

We won a monkey again at the pier by kicking down 3 tins at the funfair stand.

This is the place where Cheese and Fiffy were from!

I remember I screamed like hell last year when we went for a ride of the scary roller coaster kind of thing. Well this year I still screamed a lot too. Haha. AH~~~~

My Ugly teeth

I think I have had the ugliest and most unhealthy teeth on Pluto. At the end of last month, just before Louise’s wedding day, one of my front teeth was broken—not whole, but there was a small piece of former filling fell off while I was having my sandwich. And then same tragedy happened early this week while I was having my dinner at school—this time the whole slice of filling came off and there was a long skinny hole on my front tooth. You can imagine how horrible it was. The next day my tooth and I both did not feel like going to school so we went to see a dentist instead.

However I had no luck finding a dental practitioner who accepts NHS patients and it means that if I want to get my tooth done asap, I’ve got to pay a lot for that. Eventually I went to a private dentist to have my tooth fixed. And guess how much I spent on those bloody teeth for a 45-mins session? GBP112.5 Bloody one hundred and twelve pounds and fifty pence. They also advised me to do the crown jobs for 4 teeth which is gonna be another 400 Pounds for each crown and of course I am not doing that here coz I am not out of my mind.

Well, at least my front teeth look great now for the time being—they have done a good job, and plus the dentist was gorgeous and fit—blond, neat hair and lovely smile. It was kind of emotional compensation for the money I paid. Hehe.

But hey, Lawrence baby dont you worry--You are still the most gorgeous one, innit?!

may

Easily annoyed, fed up with people taking advantages of me being nice to them.
Freelance wages unpaid,
Overworked,
Overloaded with information that I don't wanna hear.
Over-crowded in the house and people just would't get out of my face.

Dont ask me why I have been so aloof at home,
Please would people just leave me alone.

And dear L, you are the only place I feel safe and protected,
Please keep holding me around and around and around and around
Forever.

The Apprentice

homepage.jpg

This week my favorite TV reality show ‘The Apprentice’ has come to an end. Tim has won the competition after 14 weeks of tasks with other competitors who all aimed to win the business position offered by Sir Alan Sugar’ with a six-figure salary. Thank God Saira did not win.

As Sir Alan said on the interview after the last episode, The Apprentice has provided a more light-weight way for the audience to look into what a big enterprise would expect a successful candidate to work for the organization. It is very interesting to see the clash among the candidates when they worked on the projects—it is selfish, it is dramatic, but it is very true to life. I especially enjoy watching when the lost team appears in the board room trying hard to defend for the project failure and when Sir Alan decided who he should fire.

Among all the candidates, I thought James would win as overall he is a good team player and also a good project manager. The reason why Sir Alan fired him is weird—he couldn’t see why James would want to be his apprentice, giving that James’ business worth way more than the salary offered. Maybe Sir Alan does not want James who is already a very successful entrepreneur to get to know his organization too much?

Tie the Knot

Recently I attended 1 engagement party and 1 lovely wedding.. The freshly engaged couple are my bosses from auctionicity. Their engagement party was held in a lovely place by the river. There was a lovely balcony where you could have the (very cold) breeze with your cigarette or glass of wine, while inside the room there was music, wine, food and dancing people. I had a good fun with Lawrence, my crazy girl friends and other lovely people. And I’m very happy for Anna and Dan.

One week later I went to this lovely wedding held in Ealing. The bride is L’s friend from college and according to L she’s been dreaming to have such beautiful and perfect wedding since long ago. Anyway, it was a gorgeous day and we went there by scooter. And guess what, in order to keep the lady-like image as I was in a fab dress, I was asked to sit sideway on the Vespa. I looked cute but it was actually very hard work and thank God I did not fall. After the I do ceremony in the church, all guests moved to the Great Conservatory located in a mansion which is in the middle of the Syon Park. The venue is definitely posh but it was definitely fantastic for the wedding. I had fun that day as I have never been to a traditional British wedding before. However, unfortunately I was terribly sick because of the flu, and poor L had to give up the yummy-looking wedding cake and the mysterious dessert afterwards as he had to send me home early.

election night

I've been warned since long ago that on the general election night I won’t be able to have any chance to grab the remote and switch the channel. Well, maybe because every time when it was the election—whatever it was for, not only the election itself, but the media was also always a chaos. You would never want to watch the news channels during the election in Taiwan. And maybe because of that, I personally dislike watching political-oriented programs or what-so-ever. However, I did follow some election-related programs along the way recently and wondered why it would be such a great difference between the media here and those in Taiwan. I have to say it is much more pleasant to watch such program or make your own observation/ judgment on who you are going to vote for without all the chaotic media blablaing or the noisy election cars shouting out outside your house.

In the middle of April

Have been very homesick these days.
Probably because I've been too busy for quite a while,
Probably because of the shitty weather in London.
Probably because probably. You know.

Not sure if I'm really happy with the busy life like this.
Working especially exhausts me sometimes.
I don't have time to think about it.
Life just keeps going as it wants.

But somehow I know I'm doing it because I want to stay with you for a long long time.

I took the risk of not handing in assighments in time,
spending my Friday afternoon at your flat,
no sunshine outside, no assighments progress inside,
but I'm singing Satellites of Love
I'm thinking of you singing this to me with your guitar.
and you know I like it when you do that.
