最後一天的禮物

2007年的最後一天，有生以來第一次在國外跨年，那是多麼期待又興奮的情緒啊！
大概是被老天爺發現我笑得太大聲，又幸福的太滿了！搞得他也在這最後一天送了我一份大禮！一份我著實消受不起，真是天上掉下來的禮物啊！！！

這一切都要從那幸福滿滿的清晨說起。

我們又要移動了！漸漸習慣了當一個流浪者的漂泊！我們用一頓豐盛的早餐告別在Dunedin的這幾日。在這個城市，我們一同度過了異鄉的平安夜，南半球的聖誕節。接下來要準備迎接新的一年了！

Ranfurly is located about 110 kilometres north of Dunedin in the Central Otago region of New Zealand. Ranfurly is known for its impressive Art Deco buildings.

史上超級陡陡坡

超級有趣的關係

今天是開車兜風的好日子，都瘋都瘋！！！連街道都瘋了～哈哈哈～
我們特地到但尼丁的BALDWIN STREET去開眼界!! 傳說，它超級陡的！！好有趣喔！

Initially Baldwin Street slopes gently from the valley floor,then climbs steeply to its intersection with Buchanan Street at the top.

 Over the 161.2 metre length of the top section,it climbs a vertical height of 47.22 metres,which is an average gradient of 1 in 3.41.

On its steepest section the gradient is 1 in 2.86.

Every year,during Dunedin's Festival,large numbers of athletes,including family groups,take part in social and competitive foot races to the top of the street and back.These races are known as the "BALDWIN STREET GUTBUSTER".

The street is named after William Baldwin,who carried out the original subdivision.Baldwin was a member of the Otago Provincial Council and founder of the "Otago Guardian"newspaper in 1873.


光是看到這個坡，我腿都軟了！何況要爬上去！！真是佩服住在這裡的居民！

巧克力工廠& SPEIGHT'S BREWERY

今天的行程讓我非常之興奮！！雖然天公不做美，不過一想到要去參觀Cadbury巧克力工廠跟Speight's啤酒廠，高亢的情緒一點也沒有因為天氣的關係而受到影響。

走路，是我們每天必做的運動，從我們住的地方步行到市中心大約要２５分鐘左右的路程，途中經過了兩間古老的教堂Knox Church & First Church。

今日的行程是逛Museum，提升一些文化素養，博大知識以便增加我們博學的等級。哈哈～

  • Discovery World Tropical Forest has a small admission charge:
    No charge for under 2yrs
    $4.50 children (2-15)

    $24 two adults and two children
  • Special exhibitions - from time to time the Museum has a special exhibition which carries an admission charge. Through sponsorship the Museum ensures these are as low as possible.

奇異的夏日聖誕 kiwi style

2007年12月25日 聖誕節(夏)


夏日聖誕，這種只有在南半球才能體會到的節日，著實讓我有一種非常非常奇異的感覺，生平第一次過聖誕節是在夏天！！！艷陽高照的炙熱夏季！！真的........好奇怪的感覺喔!!
在這樣特別的聖誕節日裡，我們充滿意外的行程也特別豐富，像是老天爺要送給流浪在異鄉的遊子一份聖誕禮物一樣，就像聖誕樹上掛得滿滿滿的炫麗飾品一樣，讓人開心愉悅興奮不已的度過這個佳節。

下一站，幸福，平安夜

2007年12月24日，平安夜


Oamaru這個神奇的地方，在這裡我們遇上了企鵝，有了神奇美妙的境遇。一夜好眠之後，依舊得踏上我們未知的驚奇之旅。


昨晚的Backpackers是一間老式的英國住家，地毯壁花以及木床都有著濃濃的英國味


要離開Oamaru之前，我們先在這個城鎮逛逛，這裡不大，路上往來的人不多，但是至少街道感覺的出一點城市的氣息，晃著晃著，我們來到一區像是舊廠房的街區，赫然發現威士忌酒廠，這真是個令我陶醉的地方啊！多麼古色古香的外觀！多麼香醇細緻的酒桶！我想我愛上威士忌了！

這裡是存放釀威士忌的倉庫廠房，三層樓的古老建築物裡，竟有著一九七零年代至今的上千桶絕代風華的橡木桶。裡頭存放的都是金碧輝煌的威士忌耶！！！

又是天氣晴朗的一天，很熱，這裡的夏天真是艷陽高高照啊！即使有一大座雪山在我們旁邊，即使我們正在高山上，依舊是能感受到太陽熱情的魅力呀！今日的路途是下山到下一個有人煙有商店的小城鎮OAMARU。
