1995年六月流行樂壇奉為"King Of Pop"的超級天王發行名為History:Past, Present And Future-Book1兩張一套專輯，共收錄了30首Michael Jackson 的新舊作品。第一張取名為History Begins，收錄的15首作品，乃是取自Michael 過去十年來所發表【Off The Wall】、【Thriller】、【Bad】、【Dangerous】等四張專輯內代表作品，幾乎每首皆是排行榜的冠軍單曲，支支膾炙人口，值得90年代的新生代樂迷去傾聽，讓樂迷可迅速地對他傳奇的音樂歷史做一番回顧與認識，藉以進入他的音樂世界，更是Michael 對未來展望與自我定位的一個新註腳。 本張專輯的第二部分亦收錄了15首作品，除了Come Together 是翻唱自披頭四的舊作外，其餘14首皆是最新作品，並請來了David Foster, Jimmy Jan, Terry Lewis,Dallas Austin, R.Kelly, Bill Botrell, Bruce Swedien, Janet Jackson, Slash 和Boyz II Men 等灸手可熱的製作人、樂師與藝人來助陣，皆是一時之選。

1997年5月 Michael首次打破相隔四年發片的慣例，發行Blood On The Dance Floor : History In The Mix專輯，一張節拍強烈明顯、最適合隨樂起舞舞曲專輯。輯中收錄了13首別出心裁的音樂佳作，找來包括了David Foster, R. Kelly, Slash (Guns N' Roses), Notorious B.I.G., Boyz II Men ，以及當紅的R&B 樂團Fugees的團員Wyclef Jean等堅強陣容參與此輯的製作、混音、演奏與合音工作，超過76分鐘的狂歡音樂享受，包括5首全新鉅作，分別是：97全新超級單曲Blood On The Dance Floor、Morphine、Superfly Sister、Is It Scary以及M.J.親自演出的驚悚短片"Ghosts"的同名主題曲。本輯還將History:Past, Present And Future, Book 1專輯中的8首新作，予以最炫、最新潮的方式重新混音，例如Michael與Janet破天荒首次合作的Scream，便改造成更狂烈版的Scream Louder，而英、美、歐各國冠軍曲You Are Not Alone、Earth Song、Stranger In Moscow...等，也都改頭換面重新呈現給喜愛Michael的廣大樂迷。
