多變的她在1981年出了專輯「Physical」，改走性感路線，因歌曲帶有強烈性暗示而遭許多電台禁播，但是專輯大賣，歌曲在排行榜佔據榜首10週，唱片奪得雙白金，成為國際級巨星，在好萊塢星光大道上留下自己的手印。

奧莉薇亞於1984年結婚，1986年女兒Chole Ross出生後，她開始淡出歌壇，並且致力於關心地球環境問題，並在專輯裡面教導人們如何幫助環境，還與其他歌手共同參與「Spirit of the Forest」專輯錄製，贊助巴西熱帶雨林計畫.
