成軍於1971年的BOSTON，強調真實的搖滾風格與搖滾不死的音樂精神外，堅持不用電子合成器，在1976年首度發行More Than A Feeling收錄的波士頓的合唱團的同名專輯裡，吉他手兼主唱 Brad Delp 最經典一首歌。同張專輯中的 Peace Of Mind也非常耐聽，Foreplay Long Time這首歌以電吉他的狂嘯開頭，下半段的悅耳曲風也都很讓搖滾樂迷驚嘆。 波士頓的合唱團的同名專輯是一張非常經典的搖滾發燒片，從1976年首度發行至今都一直是發燒片，大賣超過一千七百萬張，相信應是搖滾史上最暢銷的一張專輯了。



雖然離上一張專輯Don`t Look Back（1978）8年之後，才推出了Third Stage這張作品，但一推出立即造成轟動，單曲Amanda立即奪下全美冠軍。這是一首詞曲兼憂的抒情搖滾佳作。主唱Brad Delp 在BOSTON前三張專輯包辦了主唱和所有的和聲，是個相當優秀的主唱。"Amanda"是一首至今仍讓我百聽不厭的歌，Brad Delp雖然經常高亢尖叫演唱，在這首歌中竟有如此撩人的演歌。然而，Brad Delp在2007年3月9日星期五被發現陳屍於他自己的家裡。也因為Brad Delp的殞逝，從此搖滾樂迷們將不會再看到Brad Delp的現場精彩演出了。
