Shirley is definitely one of our most experienced teachers. She has worked at various schools, institutions and for religious groups who require a native American teacher. Besides being a conversation teacher and teacher of Business English- Shirley works in many niche markets of ESP (English for Specific Purposes). These niches include American accent training, American idioms, Idiomatic expressions, TOEIC exam preparation, and storytelling. She is a professional and experienced teacher who takes her career as an English instructor to heart. Always willing to go that extra mile for her students to provide the utmost service she is a treasure of a teacher.
 
來自美國的Shirley老師, 是迪瑪線上英語學習教師團隊裡少數幾位較年長的老師之一, 因為將教學視為終身志業, 二十年前從美國Kentucky 到Quzen擔任美國口音訓練中心( American Accent Training )的英文老師時, 便愛上亞洲文化, 自此一直定居Quzen 至今, 除了教授生活會話, 她也教授商業英文及多益考試, 是位和藹有耐心的老師.

Lesley has over 6 years of experience teaching English. Lesley takes pride in helping others to achieve their goals. As an online English teacher who possesses Mandarin speaking ability she often works with students who will benefit from her bilingual skills. From our experience, though, it doesn’t take long for students’ under Lesley’s guidance to quickly improve and move onto classes with a Native teacher. The problem is that her students’ like her so much – they often don’t want to change teachers! No problem. Lesley will simply use less and less Mandarin and encourage an “English only” class.
 
 
Lesley是位中英文雙語教學的老師, 在多年前就擔任迪瑪英文線上教學的工作, 為了想讓自己的教學有更專業的表現, 在2008年赴英國繼續深造, 2009年完成學業後, 又重回迪瑪的教師行列裡, 繼續她熱愛的英語教學工作, 目前定居歐洲的Lesley, 同時擁有TESOL, TCSOL雙文憑, 主要教學項目為生活會話, 和寫作引導, 她對自己受過專業教學訓練的背景很有信心, 認為跟她上課的學員會同時接收專業理論, 程實際英文學習的收穫.

Siena has worked as an English teacher at many schools including the prestigious ETON International English Center. She has quite a bit of Online teaching experience not only with Dma Language Associates but at other online schools. So why did she decide to make the move from her previous online school? In her words: “A better learning environment for students. I felt that Dma was very professional and would give me the best opportunity to work with students in a consistent and positive manner.” Well, we are certainly glad that she made the decision to join our team and we have received nothing but positive feedback from her students! What can students expect in classes with Siena? Here is what she says: “Expect to be pushed. Expect that I will correct your mistakes and that I will expect you to improve and not make the same mistakes over and over again. I don’t believe in rushing things. I believe in identifying reoccurring mistakes in students’ speech and correcting it 100% before moving forward.” Sounds a little scary? Don’t worry Siena is actually one of our friendliest and talkative teachers!

We can see from Luan’s work experience at Top Companies Publishing and Events where she was a Research Manager and from her time invested at Sharenet where she sharpened her copy writing and editing skills for the Sharenet Online Magazine that Luan is a professional who uses her exceptional command of the English language to the advantage of herself and those she chooses to work with. On top of that, Luan has recently completed her TEFL course which included Cambridge Examination and weekly teaching practice. It is no wonder that she is so popular and her students are clamoring to book her time slots!
 
 
Luan 有非常豐富的學識背景，在她過去擔任Sharenet線上雜誌編輯的經歷，就可以看出來她對英國文學有極大的熱誠，因此在生完小寶寶後，便積極進修TESL的課程，其中還包含了英國劍橋師資認證，及接受多項實習教學與練習，在她熱情開朗的教學方式下，使得線上英文學習變得更生動有趣，常常有許多學生等著她的空堂，選修她的課程。

When considering his next employment Jamie wrote on his resume that: “The need for learning and psychology concepts would be an opportunity to showcase extensive training.” Well, certainly teaching involves psychology concepts so what about extensive training? Let’s take a look at his background. Besides working with Statistics Canada “in the field of information quality control. Where duties included "cleaning" data collected for the 2001 Census. Inspecting geographical, social, and financial data as they pertained to national statistics.” And with Arimtec International where duties included “Editing and proofreading French and English documents for the government.” Jamie is also a personal trainer who helps his clients to “improve cardiovascular conditioning, muscle strength and tone, flexibility and body to fat ratio.” We can see that Jamie has a wide and varied skill set that he brings to each and every class. Oh… and for fun? His hobbies include: Computers, hobby electronics, Internet home page design, reading, Competitive Judo, and swimming.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Marilyn brings a colorful assortment of experience and knowledge to her classes. Her professional experience ranges from being a Manager at Allen & Harris Estate Agents from 1979 - 1985 to being a teacher at Gloscat College of Further Education in the U.K. from 1996 – 2001. She has since immigrated to Canada in order to rejoin her daughter and to pursue a career as an Aroma therapist and Online English teacher. So far, all has been working out great even though she admits to “still not being used to the cold and snow of a Canadian winter!”. One thing is for certain, Marilyn has a lot to offer her students- not only English skills but life experiences!!!

Cathy has a gift and that gift enables her to master languages. She is absolutely fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, and Dutch. She is also trained as an English language teacher through TESOL and as a Mandarin language teacher through TCSOL. She is not only a proficient speaker of languages; she is also a trained instructor.
 
After working as an Information staff and interpreter for the 2006 Taipei National Book Exhibition she then taught English at a Junior High school in Miaoli, Taiwan. She is currently living in Amsterdam where she is in her words- “Polishing her Dutch”. An obvious language expert and adventurer, Cathy is full of surprises and is sure to keep her classes and conversations not only professional and rewarding but exciting!

Anne has made a decision to be an Online English teacher – not a “teacher” an “Online English teacher”. Why? She likes being able to meet so many different cultures from around Asia and the rest of the world through the convenience of Skype!!! So far Anne has taught students from Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan Germany and Russia!!! She has obviously reached her goals of learning more about different cultures. Anne is also a certified IELTS trainer. When Anne is not teaching, she enjoys watching movies, listening to music and playing sports.

主修英文的Anne，不僅只是想當老師，她希望能成為一名線上英文老師，這樣她就有機會接觸世界各地不同的文化，當然現在她正從事她最理想的工作 - 英文線上教學，她授課的學生有來自台灣　日本　俄國　德國等來自全球不同的國家，她並具有教授雅思(IELTS)的資格，是許多準備考IELTS學生的首選老師。

Nancy is a natural talker and more importantly- a natural teacher. She enjoys the conversations she has with her students and takes pride in the improvement her students display week after week. What is the secret to her success? Well, here is what she had to say: “I am Dedicated to providing the best possible education and learning to individual students. I use diversified teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests. I also provide additional teaching materials geared towards student improvement and progress.” Sounds like she tailors her style and classes to the needs and wants of each individual student- and we say- that’s a professional! On the casual side, she says she “…takes interest in reading and writing, watching great movies, enjoys the outdoors (Who wouldn’t enjoy the great outdoors in Canada?), meeting people and of course having good conversations.” Besides Conversation English, Nancy is also currently helping students master Business English and prepare for TOEFL examination.
 
Nancy是迪瑪線上英語教學的全職老師，她把教學視為一件認真而神聖的使命，對於每一個不同的學生，她都依其所需盡量提供許多額外的教材，並滿足學生需求，除了教導生活會話及商業英文之外，她也是教導托福(TOEFL)的專業老師。

As an ESL teacher at a global IELTS school in China- Roman taught English as a second language to students of all ages and levels. He was in charge of designing class materials as well as promoting his school at various education seminars and trade shows. Roman has experience preparing students for IELTS examination as well as teaching general conversation. He is back in Canada spending time with his family and enjoys the opportunity to continue to do what he loves- to teach English and help students’ achieve their language goals. In his free time, Roman enjoys Graphic design, movies, art and travel.
