鴻鴻的過氣兒童樂園創作筆記──詩是一種對抗生活的方式

寫詩從來不是在我生命中最好的時刻，也不是最壞的時刻。

通常是一種無以名狀的情感在尋找出口，於是所遇的萬事萬物都成了表徵。詩的旅程最美好之處莫過於，它給予的遠比你所期望的要多，甚至會覺得依傍詩這塊奇妙靈動的水晶，世界正與我同悲同歡。

然而我逐漸醒覺，這只是一名年少詩人一廂情願的想像。世界非但不可能與我合聲同氣，反而處處跋扈橫行。無知不能令人置身事外，只會讓自己成為幫兇。

1998年我因一個奇妙的機緣走訪以色列與巴勒斯坦，一時感悟寫下五首〈遠離耶路撒冷〉，對弱勢民族的處境開始益加留心；911之後又寫了〈恐怖份子〉（俱收於上一本詩集《與我無關的東西》）。隨著美國攻打阿富汗、伊拉克，夏隆當選以色列總理又退位，車臣獨立份子劫持劇院及小學，加上兩岸情勢與島內紛爭緊密激盪，讓我日漸明瞭，台灣實為世界族群、文化、經濟、政治衝突之具體而微的一環。鑽研凱倫‧阿姆斯壯的伊斯蘭論述，薩依德的以巴問題訪談，杭士基對美帝國主義的批判，而後，我也開始走訪諸多文化互相衝撞或複合的國度，將所學所聞與他們的山川、人文互相印證。98年的以巴印象更不斷回來襲擊我，每一次都帶著更強的力道。

據稱阿拉伯詩人善於洞悉部落成員潛意識的意欲，化為魔法般的詩句，令人聆聽時猶如被曠野間遊蕩的精靈附身。行走土耳其、庫德斯坦、亞美尼亞、及卡拉巴殘留烽火的土地時，我卻感到被附身的人是我。那些美麗與殘酷、痛苦與榮光、融合與對立的一體兩面，莫不鮮明地反映出我自己的生存經驗。

2004年高達《我們的音樂》片中，巴勒斯坦詩人達維希意味深長地指出，歷史都是由勝利的一方書寫──要了解特洛伊城陷，向來只能仰賴希臘詩人荷馬──然而我們豈不當以特洛伊的詩人自許？身處無退路無倚仗的圍城小島，這句話如斯清明，召喚出我潛藏的心聲。詩人是誰並不重要，重要的是他所說出的話語，能否和這傾斜的世界相抗衡。

從前我對詩的喜好，往往來自文字、音韻牽引出的朦朧美感，一種抒情氛圍。而今我以為，這種氛圍掩蓋或避開的，遠比其所揭露的多。理應對裝模作樣的人世進行「冒犯」（或者文雅一點說，「探索」與「挖掘」）的文學，卻順服了自身的成規，形成另一種裝模作樣的「詩意」。這樣的文學，也只是鼓勵讀者繼續沈湎在世界的一致性當中。德語詩人Erich Fried即以〈現狀〉一詩指出：

誰想要

世界

像它現在的模樣

繼續存在

他就不想要

世界繼續存在

我發現自己已經沒有藉口迴避。一如蘇珊‧桑塔格在《旁觀他人之痛苦》所云：「人長大到某一年紀之後，再沒有權利如此天真、膚淺、無知、健忘。」詩人誓言發掘事物的隱密靈魂，但若對怵目驚心的現象與問題都視如不見或無力回應，詩也終究只能如大多數人（包括詩人自身）所認為的，不過是人生的裝飾品而已。此刻，我並未覺得詩不可為，反而覺得詩更形重要。寫作不是為了添加世上原已車載斗量的文字，而應以更精簡的方式直命要害，終結這些繁縟的夾纏。因此，比起那些瑰麗優美的辭藻，我寧願回頭學習詞不達意的小學生作文，後者至少更直接地面對他所感受到的真實。

不再妄想詩能納進世界的一切脈絡──即使納得進又如何？我退而希望詩能被納入世界的脈絡中。不再甘於詩的無用之用，我希望詩也能有其有用之用。少年時我以遊戲性的寫作，回應赫塞、紀德對於個人自由的召喚。前輩瘂弦曾準確點出這種寫作態度──「詩是一種生活方式」。然而面對逐漸曝顯在眼前的現實，我卻難以再這麼悠然自得。遊戲只能贏得個人的自由，更多人的自由則需要戰鬥。忍一時不會風平浪靜，退一步也換不來海闊天空。如今，我希望詩可以作為一種「對抗生活」的方式。因為甚至不會做白米炸彈，我只能試著用詩來製造武器，並希望它經得起反復使用。

回想起來，寫詩從來不是在我生命中最好或最壞的時刻，但是卻得以幫助我徘徊在這些時刻當中。它給予的遠超過我所期望的。詩中的我比實際上的我更激烈、更敏感、更脆弱、也更勇敢，世界在詩中也變得更複雜或更簡單。但是至少，這是詩與世界正面相對的一刻。我等著看誰會被誰改變。

來晚了，現在才讀到這篇。

十一、二年前，在台南唸高中時就讀過你的詩，也看過你的戲，當時我是混戲劇社的。沒記錯的話寫過信給你，社團其他朋友去考國藝院，我去唸了外文系，收到你的祝賀信。

大一的寒假我去台北看你的戲，改編帕索里尼的劇本，後來在大學裡逐漸參與起那個劇本裡談的領域，畢業後在社運界混，現在居然在英國唸了政治和國關這種鬼東西。

青春時期的記憶久遠了，去年讀到你寫以巴的詩是吃驚和感動的，那時我才離開巴勒斯坦沒多久。

也算是個晩來的讀者。

是有印象──你的名字有個「真」嗎？
繞了一大圈，我們或許殊途而同歸，居然在巴勒斯坦重逢！
喜歡Pasolini或許是因為他有些我沒有的東西，希望藉著導戲可以神交。現在才知道，那些東西每個人都可以有，看你要不要而已。
