All over the world splashes were heard as divers and water enthusiasts took the plunge to celebrate the 20 th Anniversary of International Cleanup Day on 17 th September 2005. Volunteers in more than 100 countries and territories of the world worked together to remove debris from shoreline and underwater environments.
