看電影或電視連續劇的時候,很習慣性的會看字幕.
看字幕其實也是我學習英文的方式之一.
可是有時候,遇到很爛的翻譯員,真的是叫苦連天.
舉幾個我覺得很好笑的例子好了.

1) In movie "the Hulk"

Bad guy:" So long, Hulk."
意思是再見. 但是翻譯成 --> "好長阿,浩克"

2) 某電影

A:" Save me please~~"
意思是救救我. 但是翻譯成 --> "請存檔我"

3) In movie "Die Hard"

A:" We've got company."
意思是指有不速之客. 但是翻譯成 --> "我們有公司"

4) 某電影

A:" Bye~ Honey~"
意思是指，親愛的，再見. 但是翻譯成 --> "再見!蜜蜂!"

5) 某電影

话说一大班朋友在一个Fire Camp把酒畅饮,
其中一个男的說: "It is so high!!!come on,get me higher higher higher....."
意思是指, 那男的很兴奋,他想要再来多一点兴奋的感觉.
但是翻譯成 --> "这太高了，过来，给我再高点、再高点、再高点~~"

6) 某電影

一個女孩遇到她很崇拜的畫家,於是她說:" Hello..i'm your big fan."
翻譯成 --> "哈囉, 我是你的大風扇."

其實還有很多很多，不過我覺得最經典的就是。。。

7) 某電影

A:" Are you kidding?"
B:" No, I'm serious."

翻譯成 -->

A: "你是基丁嗎?"
B: "不，我是西里尔斯."

So Expensive yet Nothing TO See Actually.

How true is that! haha...

Well, I thought I will never ever go Sentosa again (the last time I guess I was about less than 10 yrs old).

But thanks to Ms. Tan YS. We all got a free night stay at the Siloso Beach Resort and it was quite fun.
In fact, it's always fun when celyst and li hun is around. Cuz there will always be a lot of jokes. And thanks to the very happy go lucky li hun. She could just laugh it off when the joke centers around her.
Not every1 can take jokes u see. Even myself. Haha..



So these are the three of them, looking at the Sentosa Map, trying to figure out just what should we have for dinner. It's already 9pm++. And almost all the shops close around 10pm. So in the end cup noodles at 7-11 became our best friends.

Oh ya, we went to the "Song of the Sea" show before that. It was not bad actually. It's called the "musical fountain" when I visited sentosa 10++ yrs ago. Now the name has been changed. The show is not bad. The water and the lighting effects are quite nice. I'm not sure about other attractions in Sentosa. But I guess I won't be bothered to find them out. Haha...

The next morning we went swimming. Took some silly photos under tha fake water fall.
Then shopping at Vivocity. Finally met up with S for dinner at Canele and had some yummy cakes as well.
I love the green tea cake. Reminds me of the green tea flavoured ice cream from Haagen Daaz. YUMMY YUMMY~! But the bill was rather expensive. I felt guilty >_<

Lucky for... getting the Mango trench coat (at Mango crazy sales) that I've been eyeing for since weeks ago. Patient does pay off.
And several other pieces of tops. Of cuz they are on discounts too ^^
The small Mango store was so so crowded. Are we seriously facing financial tsunami here? It makes me wonder...Ha... When sales seasons come, every girl will have sth that they need to buy.

I was about to go jogging when this lady approached me. She said she wanna do a survey and that she's not a salesperson trying to hard sell some stuffs. So I agreed to help her out. And in the end, I've got a $5 NTUC voucher. Ha... guess I could get some free apples from the supermarket.

Going travelling soon. Been counting down the days. Time seems moving so so slow when you're carrying some anticipations with you.

Christmas coming. Let it snow let it snow let it snow~

2008 coming to an end real soon. Need to do some review on 2008 and hope that 2009 will be a good year. It'll be a good year. Have faith :)

不景氣不景氣,電視,報紙,internet.... 最近來來去去聊的話題都是圍繞著這個topic打轉.
好像已經沒有值得開心的事情.
明年好像也不會有起色.
行情真的有那麼糟嗎?
身在美國的朋友說是媒體把說辭誇大而已.
或許吧.
每一天都被提醒著要小心花費.
檢視一下,那個放肆的,狂逛街買衣服的我已經long gone了.
是因為自己真的有了點money sense還是因為越來越窮所以消費信心指數下降?
i dont know. it doesn't matter anyway. 省一點是好事.
可以預期到的是,明年大概每個月的工作天數會減少到16天.
也就是只能領4/5的薪水.
Fair enough吧我想.

另外,我們join的旅行社,for japan trip的,傳出了甚麼跳票460萬的消息.
那麼大的一家旅行社,如果倒了,看來我只能說,我還真的是有夠lucky >_<
我的日本之行還真的是多災多難啊.
看來要去問神擲笅,看是不是應該退團.
去不成日本就算了,錢拿不回來我才真的覺得對不起Mr.熊.

原來有那麼多可以讓我煩惱的理由.
不過,還是be positive好.
反正,開心是一天,不開心也是一天.
算數再差,都知道該怎麼選,呵~~
