林昭亮談兩位恩師
林昭亮
林昭亮在90年代已開始於美國茱莉亞音樂院執教，他曾提到他兩位恩師對他教育理念有重大的影響！林昭亮約在12歲左右往澳洲雪梨師事皮凱勒三年，皮凱勒一再強調－音樂的整體性應是最優先考量的重點，不應該為營造一些低俗的效果而犧牲音樂。表現音樂要從心靈有感而發。皮凱勒最喜歡的句子是－為聽眾營造出特別的一刻吧！
從皮凱勒身上，林昭亮學習到應該廣泛學習各類曲目來認識作曲家。皮凱勒告訴林昭亮：小提琴曲目其實是很狹窄的，貝多芬唯一一首小提琴協奏曲只是作曲家作品的一小部份。不該侷限自己在小提琴獨奏曲目上。應多去研究貝多芬的弦樂四重奏才是。
迪蕾
另外小提琴教母迪蕾對林昭亮的演奏技巧有非常大的影響力！林昭亮認為迪蕾的教法主要在傳遞音色要如何塑造。而此點也是林昭亮教育學生的精華所在。林昭亮認為如果小提琴家不能演奏出美妙的音色，那麼演奏小提琴還有其他的重點嗎？

小提琴教母迪蕾非常疼愛林昭亮，也很保護他！林昭亮說以前他十七八歲時還在迪蕾門下學習，指揮家慕提想邀請林昭亮與柏林愛樂合作協奏曲，但此邀約被迪蕾給婉拒，因為老師迪蕾認為林昭亮還沒準備好踏上歐洲表演舞台。
一直到林昭亮拿到西班牙蘇菲亞皇后小提琴比賽首獎後，迪蕾才准許林昭亮到歐洲演出，因為迪蕾認為歐洲的樂評比美國更嚴苛，其標準更高，所以一定要琴藝純熟才能為歐洲樂壇所接受。
現今活躍於樂壇的頂尖小提琴家很多是小提琴教母迪蕾的學生，如帕爾曼與林昭亮，米多莉與夏漢等人。據說迪蕾人如其名，常遲到，正是delay女士。她的教學非常有效率，她會依學生的優缺點提出方法來幫助學生的琴藝更上層樓。
也許是她的教法有效，帕爾曼與林昭亮及米多莉現在都陸續在教許多音樂院學生，因而也讓葛拉米安－迪蕾這派的教學法能傳承下去！
