貝司手Michael Nicklasson於8/23號宣佈決定離團。「在10年的DT日子裡，我因為個人因素決定離開。我很感謝...(一堆想感謝的人)...我真的需要休息一下...(Nicklasson去年診斷出患有第二型糖尿病...
)。我和樂團間沒有任何不快，現在我得離開一陣子，決定往後要怎麼做。在這裡，我祝樂團未來一路順暢，我會以別種方式回來的，謝謝你們。」樂團已經開始徵求新貝司手加入，條件是：有創造力、技巧精湛、經驗老到、能參與下張專輯製作、住在Göteborg(即「哥登堡」，音「約特伯利」)附近或願意搬到附近居住者。並能立即進入狀況，參與10、11月Dark Tranquillity、Poisonblack及Fear My Thoughts的聯合巡迴表演。

The compilation album "A closer end", that re cently started appearing on the P2P networks as well as on Ebay and in certain record stores, is NOT an official Dark tranquillity album but a bootleg. It's very convincingly made, with a Century media logo, fake barcode and extensive booklet, but it's nevertheless a bootleg. (XD)
It's usually a better strategy to be silent about these things, but as a lot of people keep mailing us asking whether "A closer end" is a genuine album or not, and since the CD has started to appear on online discographies, presented as a legitimate release, we feel the need to set the record straight.

另外DT也宣佈6月底將全球發行2007年專輯"Fiction"的"Expanded Edition（連音樂也能和電腦硬體一樣有擴充版？！）"。
將會多收錄四首曲子：Below The Radiance、Silence In The House Of Tongues、Winter Triangle、The Closer End。外加一張07年夏天參加音樂節演出的影片DVD，24頁的Booklet，內有更多的註解（多到像Nile的"Annihilation Of The Wicked"？）及照片。
主唱米卡埃爾·史塔納表示:
"It pleases me to no end that we can now finally bring the whole album with all the songs we recorded and for whatever reason left out of the final product. Also, we decided to add a little retrospective looking back at what the hell happened during the summer and some other things I am sure you will enjoy."
所以說...之前的專輯，都遇過某些錄好的歌被去掉的情況了？
不過這種現象在樂團內算常見，不是音樂人覺得不適合放進去，就是唱片公司強制丟掉。
也許製作Fiction時，DT每一首錄音都很滿意吧。

前陣子忙研究所考試（呼～總算有些收穫...），沒時間寫點DT演唱會的心得。現在也不多說。不過我覺得那天觀眾好像將積壓10多年的期待（怒氣？！）一次釋放出來（沒辦法，誰叫亞洲國家一等就要等很久），能讓Mikael Stanne說出"You guys are FUCKING INSANE!!"，即使到場人不多，已經算是很成功了！
Well...什麼時候台灣金屬人口可以多到開演唱會得到巨蛋辦才夠用哩？
