Bride's Diary 【待嫁】

Jean, Jane and my Eiran asked me out for lunch today. Yish! I had already arranged for an appointment with my colleagues. Dear Mr. Eiran, please call me earlier for lunch next time, ok? VIP like me, according to Wyan very busy one! Since Jean said Eiran was with her, so I spared 10 minutes, walked from my office to Media Hub just to see them. Touched?! Must be eh... Except that somebody ignored me. Waved hand to me and can't wait for me to leave... how sad?! Anyway, I then ignored that person too and continue to chat with Jean Jean and Eiran. Of all things, we were actually talking about my wedding, which only will happen next year! Jean is so excited and even offer to help. aww.. so sweet. So, yes! This is going to be my FIRST page of my Bride's Diary.
I used to think that marriage is a couple's affair. Then slowly, I know that is no longer a 2-persons matters, is TWO families, especially in the Chinese Families. Then today, when I check online, it has now become a 2 persons + 2 families + 1 govermental + 1 social + 1 religious matter. It widen my thoughts again. Is not that I didn't know about it, just that I never thought about the "govermental", the "social" and the "religious". Without these, a couple's marriage will not be recognised! Maybe for Chinese, I will have to add one more, the "culture".
I am surprise too. It says, The MOST frequent form of marriage unites a man as husband and a woman as wife. A slow peerson like me actually: Huh?! Most?! Why not ALL? Nowadays, there are OTHERS form of marriage; for example polygamy and same-sex marriage. Meaning there is no longer A man and A woman. It can A man and N women or A man and A man. Trust me, in some countries, Polygamy and Same-sex Marriage are LEGAL.
The reasons people marry varies. My reason? For the UniSA kids, I AM GETTING OLD LAR! For myself, I want to be with my love one, I want to form a family with my love one. and Yes, I am waiting for the day to come.
P/S: Yay! Eiran agreed to be my photographer! Jean Jean agreed to be my flower girl! The person that I ignored volunteered to ... I forgot what it is, must be something not important.
