The Infection by Eric Ross



The Infection is Eric Ross`s take on an effect that was featured on a nationally televised magic special by Penn & Teller. Eric teaches you this great effect with permission from Penn & Teller.
This truly bizarre effect allows you to thread your ear piercing with a needle and thread and allow a spectator to rip the thread straight through your ear. This is a beautiful performance piece that will make you stand out from the common trickster.

Real Floating Card Eric James



So, you like leviation effects? Well Alex Markov has created what some are calling the best of the best when it comes to close-up levitations. The performer shows his hands empty on both sides, then hands hand out or borrows a deck of cards for shuffling. A spectator then selects a card and places it on top of the deck.

The magician retrieves the deck and openly places it on his outstretched palm. He tells everyone to concentrate on the card as he starts his "meditation." After a few moments, the card eerily begins to rise higher and higher off the pack! It floats up and down in an amazingly smooth way as if the card is somehow floating on a cloud.

Now for the best part-the performer removes another card from the pack and waves it above, below and all around the card while it's floating in mid-air! The spectator's can look anywhere they want-this is angle free!

The Real Floating Card is one of those few effects in magic just as amazing for the magician while performing it as it is for the spectators watching! Truly a one-of-a-kind levitation you shouldn't miss out on.

The Effect A spectator freely chooses one of two decks, red or blue (not a force). The other deck is set aside. From the chosen deck the spectator reverses any card sight unseen. The deck that was placed aside is now spread on the table by the spectator. Amazingly, the exact same card is reversed in this deck! BUT THAT'S NOT ALL... The two cards are turned over to show that not only do they match, but each card has the back design from the opposite deck!

Effect

This exciting two-phased routine is a collaboration between Peter Nardi, Mozique and the amazing Rob Bromley. This is the best selling Entrapment Gold taken to a new level! Phase-One Two picture cards are shown and placed face up on the table. A card is freely chosen from a face-up deck, signed and placed between the two kings. With a snap of the fingers the chosen signed card vanishes from between the kings and is now face down in the middle of the face up deck! Phase Two The two picture cards are once again placed face-up on the table. The signed card is now shown going into the middle of the deck. The deck is squared and cut . The picture cards are now fanned to show a face-down card between them, your spectator removes the card himself and yes it the signed selection! This can be used as a stand alone effect or as a great addition to the Ambitious card routine. Comes complete with the excellent Entrapment Gold Gimmick.

The Effect

This routine was a hit in Luke’s live lectures and has been a favorite among a small circle of friends for many years. Since he first introduced this effect, Luke has made numerous additions and added touches that lift this routine to a new level. The performer removes his watch and has someone visualize a time on the watch face. The watch is then handed to a second spectator who randomly turns the dial of the watch until the performer tells her to stop. The first spectator announces the time they were thinking of. When the watch is checked it is amazingly set to the same time.

Unlike many watch routines, this routine allows the performer to make use any ordinary analog watch – no special gimmicks are needed. Your analog watch, this devious secret, and one simple item you probably already have laying around at home will give you a miracle ready and waiting on wrist!

The "Stand-Up With Cards" performance on this video features unusual magic with cards and is suitable for small audiences in a relaxed environment like a house party or other social gathering. There are no boring card tricks here, only the best and most entertaining prestidigitation with a pack of pasteboards you can present.
The show begins with a classic effect, "Through The Veil," in which a chosen card mysteriously penetrates the fabric of a handkerchief wrapped around the deck, leaving the handkerchief unharmed.

Then, Harlan's novel approach to a Cards Across routine, "Equalibrium," lets the audience get aquainted with the performer and involved directly in the show.

Bringing the first section to a close is "Rodeo," in which a rope strangely fashions itself into a hanging noose and captures the selected playing card desperado.

To bring the pace up and inject a little more humor, Harlan moves into "Shooting Card." A card is chosen to represent the victim, and although it is lost in the deck and the deck is held firmly by a rubber band, surprisingly the spectator is able to shoot the card out of the deck. There's even a bullet hole through the card!

At this point, Harlan demonstrates his ingenuity with his unique classic rising cards, "EZ Riser," which requires no thread hook-ups or mechanical devices. The cards rise from the center of the deck with no visible movement by the performer. The last card even rises while the deck is in the case, and isolated inside a glass. You'll never have to worry about a pre-set thread when you use this simple method.

To highten the comedic mood, Harlan presents the "Egg Beater Mindreader," a modern classic of stand-up card magic.

To really impress the audience with his affinity with the cards, the performer instantly names any card chosen in "Stebbins Standing," using the Si Stebbins stack. This ingenious stack is easy to use, yet powerful in performance. Harlan also provides you with a very convincing false shuffle that looks just like a riffle shuffle and can be done standing.

To finish, "Size 9" leaves the audience with a lasting impression of the phenomenal card magic they've just seen. A signed card ends up folded in the performer's shoe although he apparently never goes near it. Harlan provides a detailed, step-by-step method that's practical, bold, yet indetectible. This method works while you are standing, with no advance preparation and no switching of the folded card. The signed card really ends up in your shoe!
