the ACS on Computer training for Teachers
There is one last chance for our teachers to get computer training on 11/7 (Saturday) or 11/8 (Sunday) at the CCC in Flushing, NY.
The original training on 10/24, 10/25 have been rescheduled to 11/7 and 11/8.
Please inform your teachers of this great opportunity to learn.

僑務委員會為培植海外優秀文化種子教師，傳承中華民俗文化、藝術，將於2009年8月13至16日於紐約華僑文教服務中心舉辦「98年海外民俗文化種子教師培訓班」，預計培訓60名文化種子教師。在紐約進行的四天課程，包括傳統工藝、中華節慶、悠遊古情、民俗體育、民族舞蹈、教學行政等。

ACTFL Certification
Dear World Language Teachers:
After attending the ACTFL familiarization workshops, several teachers have inquired about certification trainings and expressed an interest in becoming certified ACTFL trainers. EDUCATION CONNECTION is trying to organize a rater certification workshop in Litchfield so that interested teachers would not have to go out of state to attend one of ACTFL's certification workshops. The tentative dates for the 4-day workshop are June 29th-July 2nd. The cost for the workshop will be approximately $800 and will include breakfast and lunch each day. The workshop will be in English and is limited to 10 participants.
