An 18-year-old Taiwanese girl, Liu Pei-jing 劉佩菁
who has a rare skin disorder has just returned to Taiwan from New York
where she gave a performance in front of huge audience
Liu was invited to New York after playing the piano
in front of 10,000 people in Taipei back in March this year
Her determination to become a pianist despite her illness has moved the hearts of
many people both in Taiwan and abroad
Using 10 withered fingers to play the piano
in front of an audience of 20,000 people in New York
Liu Pei-jing became so nervous that she began making mistakes
However, that didn't matter to the audience who encouraged her all the way

The enthusiastic applause of the audience gave her the strength to carry on
and finish the performance
said Taiwan Foundation for Rare Disorders spokesperson Ciou Sing-jing
Liu was invited to play in New York after a concert
she gave in March at the Taipei Arena
where she played in front of more 10,000 people
Liu also donated a painting she had done to be sold to raise money for charity
The painting is called “Chasing the Dream”

Chasing her dream is like climbing a staircase
She is following her dream
Liu is now a first-year student in university and although she is keen to pursue her studies
it is her tiny blistered hands that have made her famous
and moved audiences both in Taiwan and abroad

Traffic in Taiwan
The traffic in Taiwan is really bad
Indeed, it's going from bad to worse
According to the newspaper,
manypeople die every day as a result of traffic accidents
