Amsterdam and its canals, bridges and bicycles. It was very picturesque.

A beautiful day in Amsterdam morning - all by myself~!

The warehouse area near Brouwersgracht. The warehouses were previously used to store cargos and goods. Now they’re mostly apartments.

Took a canal boat tour. It was just one of “the” thing to do when one is in Amsterdam.

other kinds of bridges other than the arched ones built in the 17th century.

Canal houses of Amsterdam. The interior is actually quite large.

Went to many large and small museums (because theyw ere included in the Amsterdam so I just decided to make good use of it!). Was glad that I to those museums that I would otherwise have not gone because they really tell you more about the histroy of Amsterdam and the life of the people living here than large museums. This is a Houseboat museum. You get to look inside what a typical canal boathouse looks like and to imagine what it’d be like to live on the water!

Me on the sun deck of the small boathouse. Sat there for a while just to soak up the sun and canal air. It was actually quite nice but I can never imagine myself living on a boat in a canal. It’s just too small and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to walk on land again (has something to do with the up-and-down movements of the water; eg. what happened in Venice - after a day of boating up and down the canal, the whole world was still swirling when my friends and I got back to the hotel).

More canal view.

Stayed at a Christian Hostel on the fringe of the Red Light District in Amsterdam. It was actually alright. The dorm was huge but it was pretty safe and quiet. Noticed that there was a photo of the Herstmonceux Castle that I was studying at last term on the huge poster board outside of the cafe in the hostel. I guess some alumni of the ISC had been here quite a long time ago.
