I know this has been over due for 2 weeks but oh well~! Life has been busy. haha. There's always that excuse! After our last dinner, we went to get ice cream at this small shopping plaza place. Most of the shops were closed but there was still a lot of cars. Maybe they were all there for the restaurants? It is not surpring to see lots of parking spaces around in San Diego simply because everyone NEEDS to have a car to get around (nothing is within walking distance). You don't see buses a lot (I mean you don't see one outside of downtown San Diego everyday. If you're lucky (?), you'll probably see one in a week that sort of thing. & There's no subway or anything like that outside of downtown. & Most people don't...
live in downtown. So heavy traffic during rush hours on weekdays (& weekends - since people from LA come down here for vacation) on a freeway with 4-6 lanes is just a matter of life! & It is nothing surprising to see a HOV lane that only requires 2 people in the car!

Sometimes you just feel so lucky you're on the otherside of the freeway b/c the other side is completely blocked up & probably back up all the way to LA (which is about 2 hours away when there's no traffic).

Last dinner in San Diego at a good but noisy restaurant overlooking a huge horse racing track. It's one of those big things for big gamblers when there's a big game. & This place does get pretty crowded when a horse race is on.

We stood on top of a bridge across the rail track for trains that connect San Diego to the northern cities. It was pretty scary when it passed under the bridge - there was the big sounds + vibrations.
Two weeks in San Diego has gone by so quickly! I definitely had a great time & learnt a lot ! :D
