Thanks to the Canadian Society we got to go to the Canada Day Reception hosted by the Executive Director of the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. It was something that sounds definitely quite "classy" and "wow". & When you go there...
you realize that you're probably among the yongest ones there! LOL. & It's a bit strange to not know who are all these people here (there were quite A LOT). They must have done or is doing something that is quite important.
LOTS & LOTS of flower baskets sent from big corporations for this event.
Big screens for presentation on the Cirque du Soleli intro & the performance that will be taking place in Taipei in January 2009 & some crazily pretty video presentation of Canada!

There was not much food and not many places to sit, which is understandable for these kinds of reception. I'm so glad I didn't wear the super tall high heels..!
All da pretty girls! haha. We were sort of "over-dressed" for the event. Not sure whether it's other ladies' fault or ours. But the invitation did say dress code = FORMAL... ;p
