[My Metropolitan et My CITY]
I suppose I have been out more lately after being "宅“ (rather stay home) for some time. Went to a cocktail-mixing event hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei. There's something certainly quite different about each gathering you go to, and it largely depends on the crowd. This one is rather an interesting mix. It was an event largely involving drinking; not only drinking, but drinking vodka. & Not only drinking vodka but drinking Grey Goose Vodka, the big sponsor of the event. But this event is NOT so much about ACTUALLY drinking; it's more about chilling and mixing, as mentioned on the event title. No one got drunk nor did anything crazy at this private lounge (to your disappointment as I have no stories like these to tell). But there was definitely quite a range of...
people from different stratum.

The lounge is quite a small-looking but large place. We had some light eats (bread, cakes, sushi, ...) &3 free drinks available: Metropolitan, Gin Tonic & Rum Coke.
There were successful-looking business gentlemen and ladies, there were a large young adult crowd, there were some sent by the vodka company, there were some strange fashion event guy saying hi to every girl and talking about SH, there were product girls, one of whom gave me some insight into a totally different working world that I've never encountered anyone there before. So these girls would work from 6PM to around 2AM. They would dress in the dress that they're asked to dress in to promote the products and service (which may include wearing short skirts, sexy dress, really high heels, etc.). Sometimes for one evening, they need to run from clubs to clubs or pubs. Sometimes as much as 6 in one night. These girls are all very young looking. It makes you wonder how they carry on with their life during day time? It's a rather foreign idea to me.
Anyway~ lighter things!

Making the "Metropolitan", you need some "final" touches with some "matches".

.. So you can create some sparks!

The results of the hectic drink-mixing competition among the 5 teams there. All finished within 3 minutes. Imagine 5 to 6 people (in a team) cramped together reaching their hands out to different things and trying to create a "perfect" drink.

The CHILL Restaurant and Lounge where the private event was held.
