Afternoon tea seems to be one of those trends that seem to have died down for some time and then recover to only grow more popular. This is especially true in Taipei where many grand hotels and nice (but maybe inexpensive) restaurants start introducing all-you-can-eat but very luxurious presentation of biscuits and cakes. chat about all sorts of things with close friends or just to enjoy some quiet time of your own at some place eating all the different kinds of afternoon deserts would be going for some afternoo tea.
Mondsee Restaurant is an "Austrian" style of dinning place that does have the "Austrian" or Germanic rustic feel to it. There was not a large selection of cakes (there were about 12 different kinds of cakes and puddings for you to choose) but each one just looks so delicious! & They were definitely not that sweet as you may think they are!
The interior decor. Apparently their dinner and lunch menus are pretty awesome too!
Painting on the wall. There's 2 floors to this seemily small restaurant near the Shi-lin (士林) MRT station.
