Imagine a more like Home Depot or IKEA kind of warehouse for the furnitures that were once used in the palaces and imperial functions. I think it's a pretty neat idea.Hapsburg Empress Maria Theresa founded this "lumber room of the monarchy" where furniture and other household items not need at the court will be deposited here. If it were not included in the Sisi Ticket, I guess it's one of those places that people would just...
skip or don't even know about it.
The not so obvious entrance into the Imperial Furniture Collection. It's a less popular attraction but it definitely has quite afew very interesting things to look at, including the original Sisi paintings that are basically everywhere in Vienna.
The most often seen painting of Empress Elizabeth (Sisi).
Another portrait painting of Empress Elizabeth. There was actuall a special exhibition called "Sisi in Films" there. It basically explores the existing films about Sisi and the furnitures used in those films.
Lots of lamps. The idea of "movable furniture" actually came from the French.
All the different foot stools.
The different kinds of imperial toilets.
There was also some modern things. We have one of those designer dog (the green + big one) at home. But ours is white!
