We went up to the viewing platorm on Guanshan Mountain. There was A LOT of people (old & young). Most people were there to see the panormic view of the ocean and the inland landscape. Thanks for all the support! This "Partie de Champagne" blog has won the best blog award for the Winter Youth Trekking in Taiwan series with the pages on the tours I went on. I've also won the photography category with the photos of the small mining town and the surrounding Bitan area. Now I've got all my YTT trips this summer paid for + extra goodies. When our family frends came to visit us in Taiwan, we invited them to go to Danshui, one of the port towns in the northern part of Taiwan that has so much colonial history.  When we got there, the sun was almost gone and the tides were out. The place has a rather rustic feel. By the water was the old streets where nightmarket snacks, games, shopping things attract and fill the streets with full of people.
