雖然東京來了幾次了, 但這次走在街道上有種很奇特的感覺, 像台北, 像溫哥華 downtown, 走在路上的人的穿著又像倫敦金融區. 不像到了日本, 反而像到了另一個有很多日本旅客的地方.  在這的第一個晚上, 山崎豐子的白色巨塔中"教授出巡" 的畫面居然...

Tokyo Rain

It was pouring rain for the entire day on our second day there. We pretty much stayed underground in the network of shopping malls. I didn't really get to see the city above ground.


At night, we went to the electronics places in Shinjuku to look at the newest models of stuff. It's really quite an eye-opener!

City without Edge

Keio Plaza Hotel Lounge

The Lounge place in the Keio Plaza Hotel where we got our complementary western-style breakfast every morning. Great food (they change the hot food everyday!) & nice setting.

Japanese Sweets & Gifts

Otaru the old town.

The small town Otaru was a busy port in its glorious days. Ships from the other main islands of Japan will land here and unload their cargos. The canal of the town will then distribute the goods to various places on the island. Now most of the canals are gone except this section that’s about 1.1km-long.

Otaru - the old city in new guises.

The music box place in Otaru (小樽）. There are A LOT of pretty and exquisit music boxes in there - from anything cute to elegant. I love the place. The steam clock outside of the building is one of the two old steam clocks that are still functional in the world (one is here in Hokkaido. The other one is in Vancouver!)

Fields of Fowers

Went to three flower farms in the south-mid part of Hokkaido - Furano-cho (富良野): Farm Tomita （富田）, Flower Land (for a skycar ride, lavender pillow DIY, & Lavender ice-cream), & Biei Hills （美瑛之丘 - a few car commericial and other ads were filmed here)....
