A floral shop on Vaci Utca, Budapest

Went there for a night of Puccini’s Tosca. Seats were in the second row of a box. The opera house was very fancy and elegant. The opera performance was one of the best I’ve ever seen. The dramatic intensity was maintained and carried through ’til the very end.

I don’t even know why I wanted to go to Budapest so much. All I could associate with the city is the fight/chase scenes in a Chinese/Cantonese action movie from AGES ago. There was the funicular.. the bridges.. and the sketchy/dodgy-looking streets that one associates with ex-commi/Eastern European countries.
