Time Spent There: 2 days.
Getting There: Overnight coach from Budapest to Prague.
Accommodation: Hostel Bell (more like apartment)
Weather Condition: Thunder Rain and Sunny.

Fairy Tale City

The Jewish district is full of documents and memorials of the notorious past.


The old Jewish Cemetary viewed from the washroom window of the UPM (Museum of Decorative Arts). The Cemetary was certainly too full.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Went to a performance of a ballet based on music by Felix Mendelssohn and the Shakespeare play at the Prague State Opera House - Prague’s “number two” opera house. The ceiling is fabulous decorated but I couldn’t capture it.

Dvorak

Dvorak was Czech. The museum of the composer is situated about 2-3 blocks away from my hostel/apt. Dvorak lived around the area, not the Baroque summer palace where the museum is now.

The Golden Lane

It’s a famous street in the Prague Castle area. The houses are tiny and cute. Franz Kafka (Jewish writer whose works I have studied in my German literature class; his Metamorphesis is one of the most famous works) once lived here at no. 22.
