After the Brand Management seminar with th founder of ACER (computers/laptop) & the CEO of HTC & such a tight schedule for the day, we went to the Peony Japanese Restuarant in Xinyi District (牡丹園）for some stomach-filling food. After one of those crazy work days and some earth-shattering things, I was glad that I was able to get out with a few friends! We ate at a hot sushi (not cold) place first and then went to Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant (American pub-likeplace) in the Taipei Mitsukoshi Mall Hall 11. I suppose I have been out more lately after being "宅“ (rather stay home) for some time. Went to a cocktail-mixing event hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei. There's something certainly quite different about each gathering you go to, and it largely depends on the crowd. This one is rather an interesting mix. It was an event largely involving drinking; not only drinking, but drinking vodka. & Not only drinking vodka but drinking Grey Goose Vodka, the big sponsor of the event. But this event is NOT so much about ACTUALLY drinking; it's more about chilling and mixing, as mentioned on the event title. No one got drunk nor did anything crazy at this private lounge (to your disappointment as I have no stories like these to tell). But there was definitely quite a range of...

TianFu 天福 Restaurant

Taipei 101 - Floor 85 Restaurant (欣葉）Chinese cuisine. Our family went there for Xmas dinner. The interior deco was romantically-done. You could see huge blobs of clouds flying past by you while you dine.

玥月軒 Milk Tea Hot Pot

The 2nd LErs-in-Taiwan gathering was at this restaurant near National Taiwan University. The decoration is quite exotic. A mix of Chinese & Indian & some Southeastern Asian feel. The food was kinda expensive ‘though for what it was. I ordered the “MILK TEA HOT POT” (as shown in the picture above). Of course it was salty. Hence, it’s kinda a strange combination. 春天創意素食 Vegetarian Restaurant

We brought our grandma to a vegetarian restuarant on the YangMin Mountain in Taipei City. The restaurant was in a quite remote place on the YangMin Mountain. It has a large garden with rock/stone statues from other parts of Asia. There are also tea places in the garden. There’s only 2 menu at the place - one was almost 900TWD and the other one was about 1,000 TWD. The display style is more like Japanese traditional food. The presentation is more western.
