計算你得癌症風險

美國華盛頓大學醫學院附設Barnes-Jewish醫院提供12種癌症罹患風險計算工具，並會依個人風險高低提供預防建議，網址如下：

世界癌症研究基金會（WCRF）與美國癌症研究院在2007年底發表的《食物、營養、身體活動與預防癌症》研究報告，參與的專家們整理了7000篇頂尖癌症研究，歷時5年才完成。


報告指出，目前的醫學與科技，對於癌症的認識仍有限。雖然知道癌症是正常細胞的DNA發生突變而失控，但是對於為什麼會發生突變、為什麼是某些器官長癌、以及為什麼癌症好發在某些人身上，都還有很多疑團待解。


已經證實的是，生活形態與癌症發生密切相關，極少數癌症有遺傳基因關聯性。美國癌症研究院出版的《癌症止步（Stopping Cancer before it starts）》指出，有77％的癌症根源與生活形態相關，與遺傳相關的危險因子則佔了14％，剩下的9％則與環境風險有關。


每個人都是癌症候選人，但反過來說，每個人都可主動截斷某些致癌高危險因子。況且，這些做法並不昂貴也很容易實踐，只要你願意。
