As I was going along,
當我一個人走，

A-singing a comical song,
唱著一首古怪的歌，

The lane that I went was so
我走的這條路是這麼的

And the song that I sung
我唱的這首歌

was as long, long, long,
是這麼的長，長，長，

And so I went singing along.
所以我一個人唱著。

As I was going to sell my eggs,
當我要去賣蛋，

I met a man with bandy legs ;
遇到一個彎曲腿的男人；

Bandy legs and crooked toes,
彎曲的腿和扭曲的指頭，

I tripped up his heels and he fell on his nose.
我絆了他的後腳跟然後他的鼻子掉了。

I picked up something good to eat;
