The worst sound in the world

What is the sound you hate most? Bad Vibes researches on people of differet gendres and ages around the world (except Taiwan!) to produce this website. It's quite entertaining! However, when waiting for downloading, there is a sense of excitement as well as worry-- there are sounds that I dare not to hear!
A database of sounds

Macaulay Library's website was mentioned once in Taiwan Soundscape website. Nevertheless, there is a page that is worthy of pointing out particularly. On the left side of the page, there is a recording of a harp seal. The sound is really unexpected!
32 subwoofers are played together!

The headquater of anti-Presedent-Chen has prepared 32 subwoofers and placed them in front of the president office for protest. After the test, the effect seems to be very impressive. It would be interesting to experience it in person. However, in order to hear more great sounds in the future, it is better to cherish ears and avoid going there. ^_^
Suing the noisy neighbour-- a successful case

Asking your bad neighbour to be responsible to his noise is not easy. Nevertheless, Mr Lin has made it!
Using the stethoscope as a hearing aid

The stethoscope is always used by the doctors to diagonise a patient. Wang Wen-Lin, a nurse of the Veteran General Hospital, discovered that the stethoscope can be used as a hearing aid for old people! However, I guess that when using it, you should not shout aloud. Otherwise, the old man's ears would be damaged by you!
Arteradio

Arteradio has many kinds of interesting sounds to listen! Here I would like to follow Pouldon's e-mail for phonography yahoo group to recomment two recordings of Anthony Carcone:
One is a soundwalk with R. Murray Schafer in the Parisian streets. Schafer's comment on the link between women and high heel sounds is very interesting and entertaining!
The other one is sounds of Icelandic geyser.
Enjoy listening!

The blogs are very accessible. Perhaps you can keep your diary in this way, too!
In Ollie blog, although he says that sounds were recorded in binaural. However, please listen carefully, they seem to be in mono! ^_^
The CD project of Mr Yen-Jun
First of all, I have to apologise to everyone. Because I have been busy at doing fieldwork recently, the development of the blog has been ignored for a while. Please forgive me.
So far, 4 people have shown their interest in participating Yen-Jun's plan. I wonder if anyone else is also interested?
To keep the collaboraton going, I think, it would be nice to have Mr Yen to give a detailed explanation on this blog first and then people who want to participate shall respond and discuss with each other and also with Mr Yen to reach a common agreement. If you are fine with this approach, lets begin!
For discussions about the CD collaboration, please leave your messages under this article. Thank you and enjoy the collaboration!
