生離死別，由平淡的白描手法細細寫來，更見生命中不能承受之殤。片中延續導演《雜菜記》裡父女間的綿密牽掛──罹患癌症將不久人世的父親，叨念催促著女兒完成終身大事。然片子後半段，倉皇面對的，卻是更加突如其來的陰影……。片尾父女一起慢慢走遠的背影，?是無人事先知曉的完美結局？ 
From the second she learned how to hold a camera, the director has been gazing at her father through the lens. After her father was diagnosed with cancer, the director accompanied her father through various kinds of treatments. This unbreakable connection supported them to the very last moment...

「小的時候，媽媽就因為癌症去世了，爸爸出去工作，我總是一個人在家。天黑了，我躲在自己的床上，不敢將手、腳伸到床的外圍，怕魔鬼會把我抓走。直到爸爸回來，才不感到害怕。那個時候，我在想，如果有一天，爸爸再也不回來了，那我一個人該怎麼辦呢？」─許慧如 
「My mother died of cancer when I was a child. Every time my father went to work, I stayed home alone. As it was getting dark, I hid myself in bed, making sure my hands and legs were inside the sheets in case devil will come to take me away. I`d hold my breath until my father came back so that I wouldn`t be afraid. And it dawned on me that what am I supposed to do if someday, daddy never comes back?」- Hsu Hui-Ju 
  
 
1975年生，高雄人。國立政治大學新聞系、國立台南藝術大學音像紀錄所畢業，現為自由影像工作者。作品曾獲日本山形國際紀錄片影展獎項，並曾受邀至國內外影展參展。以安靜的凝視洞悉人存在於世的荒謬，從極冷的調子裡映照出另一種溫柔。 
Born in Kaohsiung in 1975,Hsu graduated from the Graduate institute of Sound and Image Studies in Documentary,Tainan National University of the Arts.Her Hard Good Life won the Asian Currents Awards of Excellence at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival in 2003.She`s now an independent filmmaker.

但又不想讓病危的父親知道．

他ㄇ從國中開始交往１９年～
互相扶持鼓勵．
慧如導演後來靠瑜珈讓身體好轉．
真的．
很感動
