Ē 記得往過 iáu tī 教會 luā-luā-sô ê 時，有 1 工坐公車 beh 去借教會 ê 餾冊間 á 讀冊，tī 車頂 雄雄 1-ê 念頭 浮 tsiūⁿ 心頭，「我是 án-tsuáⁿ beh 信耶穌--leh？是為 tio̍h siáⁿ-mi̍h--leh？」

打個不太恰當的比喻：就好像法語雖然是拉丁語族的一支，但法國人的血統卻更接近日耳曼人。之所以他們被拉丁化，只不過是凱撒仗著自己的軍隊把拉丁語推到了凱爾特人的腹地而已。我們若因為自己的母語屬于漢語就宣稱自己是正統漢人，那恐怕和法國人宣稱自己是正統羅馬人一樣搞笑。
