Why?

Reporter: What do you think of Wang's performance?
Torre: I thought he was great. I thought he was great. I mean he, you know, he's been doing that all year... Watch this, young lady. It's squeezed out of here. Come on in here...
Reporter: Joe, ten of his fifteen outs were ground balls, I know that's his deal, but, did you know he's on right away?
Torre: Well, it makes you feel good when you see that. Because you know that he is making his pitch. Yeah, a couple of fastballs... one of them Millar hit, one of them Fahey hit, and the thing is when they score off him, he just goes right back to making better pitches, not did he tries to make bad pitches, but he is a very special youngster with a great deal of poise.
Reporter: Jeter looked like he might have been stepped on by Fahey?
Torre: Yeah, I know. He was fine. I think we just awkward form but obviously... every play, when you, you know, you went three to two, every play is...
Reporter: In the fourth inning, Wang has been hit(記者說成hitted). You think is he okay?
Torre: Yeah, he got hit in the hip, but hs is fine. You know, he got iced up in here, so hopefully there is no feedback from that. We don't anticipate, cause it really wasn't in dangerous area.
Reporter: First inning, Abreu (發音真不標準) and A-Rod and Giambi didn't make the lineup, can you explain the reason?
Torre: Yeah, some body else playing.
Reporter: Is it because you have much a confidence in Wang that those two cannot...
Torre: Oh, no no no no no no no no no, there was a left-hand pitcher pitching who has been very successful againt this, and I just want, you know, to give a couple of right-handers opportunity to do something. Plus the fact that Alex's sick, so he couldn't play. But no, had nothing to do with Wang. I do have a lot of confidence in Wang, but I certainly don't, I don't want to take advantage of him by thinking that I'd put a club that I don't think can win up to.
"Taiwanese media, out, please."
Reporter: Did the doctor see Giambi doing the gain job(?)?
Torre: Yes, and he gave him a shot. So he's probably not gonna be available until we get home. So hopefully this, you know, solves the problem. He seems to be satisfied that, you know, he hit the spot. We are very foutunate, as I said, as the cortisone doctor was here and, you know, during the game he took care.
Reporter: Is there a psychological difference that in a three-one game when you are not sending Mariano in for the ninth?
Torre: Ha ha, yeah, for the manager. You know, but Farnsworth stand this before, and Proctor came in and did his job, Mike Myers did his job. And it was a clean ball game, and I regard. You know, all but the inability the sacriface with Green, but, you know, he caught everything that was hit to him, so that was importnat. Plus, you know, he scored a run and cut a big base hit...
Reporter: He tried to get an extra out too, I think.
Torre: Yeah, I guess, which we hope to carry over to the next inning,
... they weren't gonna buy it.
