Wallace and Miriam Fight on Valentine's Day
武十郎殺青 楊千嬅 霍建華 胡宇崴情人節開打
July 31, 2006
After three months of intense filming, the kung-fu comedy Wu Shi Lang by First Media Group finished the last fight scene by the leading stars Miriam Yeung and Wallace Huo yesterday, which happened to be Chinese Valentine's day. When the director closed the filming, Miriam and Wallace, together with George Hu, shouted with excitement: “It's over!!”
Miriam and Wallace had an intense fight scene on Valentine's day. It was quite exhausting in the hot summer of Shanghai. Wallace, Miriam and George were too exhausted to be aware of the festival. They joked that the gifts for this year's Valentine's day were the pains and bruises all over their bodies.
This is the first time Wallace made a hideous kung-fu comedy, which was quite amazing. He hoped that the audience could appreciate his many versatile acting abilities. George Hu had solid training in Chinese kung-fu, and Wallace jokingly accused George of being too violent and left him with pains and aches. George apologized by saying that Wallace was great at fighting and kung-fu. Even she was a lady, Miriam did no less fighting than the two boys. She was very dedicated to filming and won accolade from the crew.
Wu Shi Lang had a starry list of actors. Led by comedy queen Miriam Yeung and super idol Wallace Huo, this series is backed up by experienced kung-fu director Chien-Chun Pan, who directed some of Stephan Chew's box office hits. Miriam was nicknamed the “female version of Stephan Chew”, and Wallace, already famous for his super idol charm, surprised the audience with his unique hideous sense of humor. Now entering post-production, Wu Shi Lang is expected to be released at the end of 2006 or early 2007.
